God Encounters – The Square

Last Saturday, I joined together with other volunteers to support the Edge community outreach. The Edge is a youth project that was set up by the local churches here in Ballynahinch to help the young people of this town.

As I walked through the town square and watching all the tents I found the prayer tent, and instantly I felt at home!!

Our prayer team were ready to pray people. I was standing outside the tent when I saw a grandmother with her family, when she came close to us I took the risk and I asked if she suffers from a sore back and neck problems. She looked at me and said that she was involved in an accident which left her with a broken pelvis, back and neck pains. I offered to pray for her and she accepted the invitation.

I called another a member of the prayer team and we prayed for her and she began to feel the presence of God through her body and her pain level came down significantly. The smile on her face was amazing to see, she felt much better. I am hoping to see her around the town soon and ask her how she is doing.

IMG_2619It should be normal for Jesus’ disciples to pray for healing, it should be normal for Jesus’ disciples to hear His voice and see what the Father is doing.

“Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.” (John 5:19 NIV11)
