FIRST SATURDAY 17th OF LENT -24
“I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.
I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.”
(Psalm 119,15-16 ESV)
To be silent does not mean to be inactive; rather it means to breathe in the will of God, to listen attentively and be ready to obey.1
Today is an invitation to step into silence, to ask the Lord to enlighten our spirits guided by the Word of God. Invite the Word, who is Jesus, to sit with you; as he does, he actively listens to every word you think and say. Fix your eyes on him, and as you do, it is my prayer that the one who calls you his will overflow you with much love.
May we hear better your voice of assurance and recognise its counterfeit, that we may walk faithfully before you. Amen.2
