FIRST TUESDAY 20th OF LENT
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4,16-18 ESV)
Be encouraged you are not alone. Our momentary afflictions are just momentary. They hurt and sting us, yet we hold on to the power of the resurrection. Only this can give us for eternity, and eternity is already in our hearts as he said it would –“He has also set eternity in the human heart” (Ecclesiastes 3,11 NIV11-GKE)
God waits in the hope that people will finally understand his moves and want to turn their lives over to him.1
Read and pray and ask the Holy Spirit to use the Word of the Lord to speak to you.
