Lord’s prayer

Third WEDNESDAY 6th/ MARCH OF LENT

There are two renditions of the Lord’s prayer; this is from Luke’s Gospel, and I believe it accurately records what Jesus taught his disciples to pray effectively. This is the blueprint and a prayer model on which we should base our prayer life. If you find it difficult to pray, then this version can help us start a prayer life that will bring many blessings and get us closer to the heart of God.
Try to pray the Lord’s Prayer, then, requires an odd combination: complete humility and complete boldness. Once we get the first right, the second can follow cheerfully. Once God’s name and kingdom are the framework of all we do and think, we are free to knock on his door as late at night as we want.1
