MONDAY HOLY WEEK 25th
“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”
(Philippians 2,4-8 ESV)
I believe that there is no better passage of Scriptures to remind us that this week is so important for us, as followers of Jesus and for our church.
These words “…did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant”. Can you imagine that? I cannot!! My finite mind has limits. I have seen beautiful things in this world, but nothing compares to the glory that Jesus had with his father, and for love, he became a servant, without privilege.
Father, thank you for your Son, our saviour.
