Learn – Inspiration – Vision – Encounter

The day I became a follower of Jesus is still vivid in my mind. I grew up going to Sunday School and knew the Gospel, but I never experienced the life-transforming power of the Holy Spirit coming inside me. But when it did, It was like I was switched on, and the natural light was even brighter.
All I wanted to do was share what I had experienced. It was so powerful and deeply significant that it pained me to realise that so many people have yet to experience it.
So, I began to share my story and witness to my friends and family and even people I had never met.

At every opportunity, I told my story, invited others to take a risk, and believed as I believed.
There were many instances where I was rejected, but that did not put me off because it was not about me but about Jesus. There were other times when people believed and experienced the power of Jesus’s message; no wonder it is called Good News.

There was one occasion when I was translating a seminar onboard the Ship Logos Two. I was translating the Ship’s Director’s seminar called “How to Know God and Make Him Known”. He gave the seminar every Sunday afternoon to people who visited the ship. When the seminar was finished, he invited people to encounter God and to know him, and I was so moved and encouraged when people got up from their seats and made a public declaration of faith. One day, he asked me not to translate him anymore but to give the seminar, and I did.

I can indeed testify because I witnessed the power of Jesus’s message in the lives of fifty people who got up from their seats and experienced the life-giving grace that can forgive us and make us new again.

I know it is true; I have seen and lived it, and I want to continue seeing it in the lives of people who have yet to experience the Good News.

Acts 1:8 is true.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1,8 CSB17)
