The time within a time!
I remember when my children were born, it was like time stood still. I became a father of four. Each one at a different date and time, they are so important to us that we each year celebrate their arrival. That moment, when they were born time stood still. If I close my eyes I can still see the maternity room, hear the voices of midwives, my wife breathing, my heart beating and the sound of an amazing little person gasping for air, saying: “My time has come, here I am, you have waited for nine months and this is me”!
When we are living in Kairos time something is born, something gets created. It so significant that it has the capacity to change us.
When Jesus said:
“God.“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”” (Mark 1:14–15 NIV11-GKE)
He was saying that his Kairos has come, something so significant is birthing. It is the Kingdom of God breaking forth in our limited time and space, creating hope, creating life and opening wide open the door of forgiveness, repentance and faith.
I have had several life-changing Kairos moments. From the moment I said, “Yes, Jesus” to “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:20–21 NIV11-GKE)
I have met many people in my life and sometimes you hear them saying, “I have missed God’s opportunity in my life and now it is too late”. That is one of the biggest lies ever told!
What if we become like the “persistent widow” of Luke 18 and insist that God will satisfy our hunger for Him.
Don’t give up, you Kairos is coming! I believe that your Kairos is NOW!
