I have heard people saying often “you are so passionate” or “I admire your passion”. But what if “being passionate about the things we like to most is not enough”! There is nothing wrong being passionate.
I believe that by living on being passionate alone and doing passionate things is hard. It is hard to maintain it and even perform it. Is it there anything else that can drive us, motivate us and encourage us? Something that will last?
Look at this beautiful fireplace. Is it glowing? No, it is not. There is not fire at all.
This fireplace was built for burning, for fire.
I believe that we were created for the same purpose. To be a house where the fire is glowing, warming up those around us and where no other driving force is allowed to sustain us the way fire can.
“But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” (Matthew 3:11 NIV11-GKE)
We are told that fire is good for refining and it is a powerful source of energy.
“You, LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.” (Psalm 18:28 NIV11-GKE)
This kind of fire does not run out, it has nothing to do with us but all to do with how much we want it, how much we desire it and how much we are prepared to be refined and empowered.
Be Blessed
