For no matter how many promises of God has made, they are YES in Christ. And so through him, the “Amen” is spoken.
He has given his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world by evil desires.
I need to hear these words daily. I do believe them and my belief system is not based on what I see or what I wish for but through the constant reminder of God’s Spirit in me. There are so many promises that He has promised us, and in each one of them, we can find his YES. These promises are there to bring us joy; they allow me to participate in the divine nature that he had called me when I was born. That day, hour, minute and second, when I believed the Lord Jesus to be my Saviour and my friend.
I live surrounded by corruption, it is within in me, it follows me, and it wants to take the place that it once had. So, I live with the tension of not to satisfying the deeds of my old self, (brutally called flesh) which I no longer need to please and my new reality of a new creation, which is by far the better one!
No one Word has failed me, and it will never will.
