Powerful People are hungry for more
“may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
(Ephesians 3:18–19 NIV11-GKE)
Powerful people are humble people who are hungry for the presence of God. Paul says we have power in our inner beings and we rooted in Christ’s love through faith in God.
It is through the ministry and work of the Holy Spirit in us that we are able to grasp how wide, how long and high and deep is the love of Jesus. It is through the Spirit’s revelation that we can experience the love of Christ.
Christ’s love is limitless, it is beyond human knowledge and it has the capacity to touch all our beings.
This is a powerful invitation to attain all of the fullness of God. Now, can we measure the fullness of God?
G. Patria says that the ultimate goal of believers is to attain the fullness that belongs to God, that is, all the riches and glory that belong to him. “God’s fullness or perfection becomes the standard or level up to which we pray to be filled”.
What an invitation!
