At the foot of the Cross, the silent voice of God was heard by the Roman Centurion and he believed that Jesus was the Son of God… I am moved by the fact that this Roman centurion realised that it was Jesus the Righteous One, Son of God.
To acknowledge the Presence of is an act of praise, it is a declaration of the goodness, mercy, salvation and love of God. Praise commonly is not silent, it is vocal and can be exuberant. Praise expresses the heart, a heart that is moved by the wonders of God and it is an act of the will compelled by love. Praise is romance… The apparent silence of God lasted all the way to Saturday till the sound of a rolling rock broke the silence into a new glorious era where death is no longer feared.
““Death has lost the battle! Where is its victory? Where is its sting?” Sin is what gives death its sting, and the Law is the power behind sin. But thank God for letting our Lord Jesus Christ give us the victory!” (1 Corinthians 15:54–57 CEV)
