WHAT DO YOU SEE?

“One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.”

(Psalm 27:4 ESV) 

What are you after?

What do you see?

What do you long for?

When I read this verse I am faced with these questions…

You know I cannot help but think that I am not looking here at a picture that someone had painted but I am drawn to a Person!

We had the blessings of living in Madrid and while there we often visited the Reina Sofia Museum, El Prado Museum and Thyssen Museum. We loved it,  going and looking at some of the most amazing works of Arts was a really powerful experience.

But, this is not what I have in mind when I read this verse, I see a person! It is relational, personal and intimate.

What if this Person sees us coming,

What does He see?

What does He long for?

What is He after?
