“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14 ESV)
Becoming flesh!
What a powerful sentence! This is us, we the living. We have been created beautifully.
Becoming flesh! When we decided to try for a family, we spoke about it, and we prayed about it. Then the miracle of conception happened, and for nine long months, a living being has been shaped, he and then she and then twice again.
During those nine months, we only saw glimpses of them through different scans, and yet we felt them, each of them.
I wonder about Mary and Joseph, they did not have the technological advantage, yet this Son, conceived by God the Father was becoming, was growing and when he came, he, the Son, became like his Father, full of grace and glory. Yet, I believe that during the nine months, they felt him, they sang to him, and they wondered just like I did.
I thank God, my family, for the gift of life and for becoming like the Son. May we reflect the Father’s glory and grace.
