WEDNESDAY HOLY WEEK 27th/MARCH OF LENT
“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”
(Philippians 2,4-8 ESV)
This week offers us a great opportunity to think of Jesus, to meditate upon his words and to ask the Spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, to fill us more and more. It is a great week, and today is an invitation to ask for our minds to be renewed. To have the mind of Christ, which is in you and in me. I know that this can be a challenge; we know that challenges, trials, tribulations, and suffering are companions of our journey of faith. But these very events provide us an opportunity to think and act like Jesus. Jesus showed us the way to do it, and he did it as a man, as a servant.
Lord, we have your mind; help us to think like you.
