THURSDAY, HOLY WEEK 28th/MARCH OF LENT
“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”
(Philippians 2,4-8 ESV)
Let us stop what we are doing; maybe this is the very time that you need to cast your mind and imagination into Jesus’ last hours. The time when he celebrated the last supper, the night of his betray, arrest and much punishment. It seems that all happened so fast, and now we can slow down, in taking in everything of what Jesus said and did. One of the things that he did intentionally was to remain silent; he said few words. Let that be our aim today. To be silent and think about the hours that awaited Jesus. He humbled himself.
There is so much to take in and to be thankful for the love that God has for us.
