HOLY SATURDAY 30th/MARCH OF LENT
“Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
(Philippians 2,9-11 NLT-SE)
Silence, Jesus was dead and buried, and everyone went to their homes. Some looked from a distance, and others were so close to Jesus that they could see the flesh marks on his much-beaten body. Saturday came, a day that seemed like any other Saturday, but it was not. I wonder if the disciples were asking the same questions that I am asking: Jesus said he will come back, will he? Why am I missing him so much? When will we see him again?
For once, I am glad that humanity did not wait for more than a day but only for a few more hours for the following day when his body was not found and his garments folded.
The beginning of the end for Satan and his hosts, and the defeat of mankind’s most fearful enemy, death.
Let us wait!
