“You are my witnesses, declares the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. You did not choose me, but I chose you.” (Isa43:10)

Some things would not change when we have decided to follow Jesus, but even with the best will in this world, we have not chosen to follow him, we have surrendered to him. I have encountered his compelling love, his overwhelming grace and mercy. I have somehow internalised that forgiveness is real. I have had a change of mind l had surrendered to Him.

By surrendering my life, I have gained an active role as a witness. Witness tell the story of what it is seen and experienced to others. However, it is also a process of dying; the very witness word means martyr.

I am a witness, I am a servant, I am chosen.
